Fire Hazard! Just got this machine and the first time we switched on it started making a clicking sound. Then a smell of smoke. Switched it off (probably just in time!) and smoke coming out of drum along with burning smell. Not impressed, had seen a few reviews to say this was a good machine. We had got this to replace an Indesit IS60V that had gone up in flames after a couple of years, so thought a Hotpoint would be better. However, we discovered that Hotpoint are owned by Indesit – this machine also looks suspiciously like the Indesit one. Not happy.
