In the recent past tumble dryers have become very popular in UK, mainly due to their utilitarian values during the inclement weather conditions. 3.In some models, the hose will be shorter and the users will find difficult to take it out of the window or wall. Position of the dryer will have to be shifted to the most inconvenient place in order to get it adjusted to the available hose length.
4.In some other models, the length of the vent hose will be longer than requirement. The user will have to fold or place it in a serpentine way to accommodate the excess length. In such case the hose can never lie straight and fluff and humid air will choke the pipe. A trapped fluff may cause breakage of hose or become inflammable.
5.Folds and bends will cause overheating of the system and ultimately damage the vent hose.
6.If the filter is not cleaned regularly more sediments will get collected in the vent hose.
7.Replacing the vent hose frequently is an expensive matter.
8.Rare and tear due to continuous usage may adversely affect the durability of the vent hose.
In short maintenance of vent hose is very vital for the overall durability of the tumble dryer. It plays a very significant part in the functioning of the machine. As such the users should pay regular attention to the upkeep of the vent hose. Notwithstanding such drawbacks the vent type tumble dryer is more preferred for reasons best explained in the beginning of this article.
The drawbacks are pointed out to sensitize the users and make them realize the importance of the vent hose. The consumers should understand that every product has its merits and demerits. It is important that the users follow the instructions contained in the manual to operate as wells as to maintain the appliance. In case of problems the users should not venture into fixing them without adequate knowledge about the working of the machine. At times carelessness or negligence of a user may cause irreparable damage to the machine.
